ANAM CARA HEALING ARTS

Interest in the human body, how it moves and plays, loves and laughs, heals and grows, has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My fascination for the body began as a child gymnast from age 4 to 14. In high school I became a gymnastics teacher and took on new sports like tennis and running hurdles in track. My history in physical activity led me to the University of Colorado - Boulder for a Bachelors degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, the study of human movement. After graduation, I moved to Seattle where I attended Ashmead College for a license in Massage Therapy. Later, I went on to study with the Institute of Structural Medicine and Donna Bajelis, PT, CHP for the Certified Hellerwork Practitioner program. I have continued my education to pursue a dream to become a Naturopathic Physician. 

During my Naturopathic medical studies at the National College of Natural Medicine I had the opportunity to observe and work with the top echelon of physicians in the holistic medical field. I graduated with academic honors, a certificate in Homeopathy, and honors in research for study in detoxification diets.  I also participated in a year mentorship with an emphasis in cardiovascular health under the supervision of the distinguished Naturopaths, Dr. Martin Milner and Dr. Jeremy Mikolai, at the Center for Natural Medicine.

I enjoy hiking near waterfalls, gyrotonic movement sessions, bicycling thru wine country, singing songs around a campfire with my sisters, and playing games with the family. Through the years I have gained many tools for supporting my patients along their path of wellness and healing.
